Davistown NSW Central Coast Australia
Davistown, on the beautiful Central Coast of Australia, is only a 1 ½ hour drive north of Sydney. Every October it is the location of the Davistown Putt Putt Regatta. Putt Putts are small 14 to 18ft boats with a distinctive engine sound, hence their name.
In this Podcast Talk’N Tours will introduce you to the history of the area and some of the Putt Putt owners who were at the 2007 Regatta.

The boats are quirky and period costume is the order of the day at the Central Coast’s Davistown Putt Regatta.
Davistown, where the regatta is held, got it’s name from the Davis family who first came to the Brisbane Water District in 1839. The head of the family, William Davis, was from Ireland and a chaplin on a convict ship.
